Email from Former Delta Employee

Hello, my name is Terry C. and I used to work at Delta Airlines.  Your folks traveled on our airline a lot and you told me one time that was their favorite airline.  I just thought I would tell you about an incident that happened with your dad one time.  There were a couple of girls, along with me, that loved Roy and Dale.  I had a brainstorm, in the early ’90s, to write Roy and tell him we were flying out to California for the day (we could fly for free) to go through their museum and wondered if we could see him.  I didn’t ever hear back from him but we went and were there the day I told him we would be.  I asked the lady at the desk if Roy was there and she said no that he was at his cousin’s wife’s funeral.  Needless to say we were disappointed but started our tour through the museum.  In a few minutes, I heard Roy say “here they are.”  He had come from the funeral just to meet us.  He walked through the museum and talked about the items he had.  At one point, and I think it was right in front of Trigger, it was just Roy and me and he sang Happy Trails just for me and kissed me on the forehead.  That was a moment I will never forget and I know, for sure, that the good guys do wear WHITE HATS.  I have a Roy Rogers bedroom in my home.  Everyone knows who my hero is and I know I’ll meet him again in Heaven!
