Roy, Dale and Trigger Visit Sick Kids

I have been receiving some great photos of Mom, Dad and Trigger visiting kids in hospitals. Whenever they were traveling out of town, they always made a point of visiting the local hospitals to cheer up the sick and injured children.

Thanks to my friends, Larry Z., Patrick Curtis and Leo Pando, I have some good photos to share with you.

On P. 131 of my book, “Cowboy Princess Rides Again,” I have included the lyrics to a beautiful song that my friend Joyce Woodson wrote about a hospitalized child who receives a visit from an un-named singer. It is a beautiful song (both Joyce and another friend, Belinda Gail have recorded it) and, although it never names the singer, all you Roy fans can immediately recognize who the man was who sang for the sick child.

So nice of them to take the time out to do this for children.

I hope all those kids are still here with their memories. People need goodness like that. Look at Trigger’s face! he understood what he was doing.

That song is beautiful, I heard a snippet of it on Joyce’s page and I noticed she plays a big guitar like Roy’s so I am getting that record. I just got the Roy Rhino box set and can’t stop listening to it! Thank you so much!

Simply put – Wonderful. So touches the heart and generous giving of themselves. Kids were mesmerized by Roy, Dale and Trigger. Hope and possibilities were something to believe in after their visits. Thanks so much for bringing up memories and good feelings Cheryl.
