Roy Rogers Fan Mail

In July, 1945, Dad received a notarized letter from Joseph Klein & Co., “World’s largest complete fan mail organization” stating —

“Dear Mr. Rogers:  This is to certify that we have received from the United States postal service, for you, fan mail in the amount of 422,511 pieces, during the six month period ending June 30, 1945.

With best wishes for your continued success, I am

Cordially Joseph Klein

Even today, that would be a lot of mail (not email) for six months! Incredible!

    1. Hi Brian, I am trying to find out the best group for you to contact. I’m not aware of an official Roy fan club at this time but I know that there are at least a couple of groups that are collectors and are interested in keeping Dad’s memory alive. Happy trails, Cheryl

How on earth did anybody get Trigger to not only lay in bed with Bob Hope; but also pull the covers several times after Hope pulled them off ???! Son of Paleface is one of my favorite movies because of Hope, Jane, and Roy Rogers’ song track.

    1. I absolutely love that scene. Glenn Randall was a genius when it came to training animals and Little Trigger was an incredibly smart horse!

My name is Evelyn Carr and my husband and I had the privilege of meeting Dusty when we were in Branson and had our pictures taken with him and bought several of the gifts of Roy Rogers there I just wanted him to know that we are so pleased, my husband has since passed away but I keep all of his memorabilia at my home and when I pass his cardboard pictures of both Roy and dale Standing will be at my funeral and happy trails will be sung, I was so pleased to have been able to at least meet Dusty even though I wasn’t able to meet his dad, the family is such a good Christian I am just so pleased to be able to think back on all the pleasant memories that I had from childhood
