Here’s a case where the studio PR Department made up just about the entire press release. As most of you know, Dad was born in Ohio. Spent his childhood and teens on the Ohio/West Virginia/Kentucky border. Didn’t even see a dentist until he was working for Republic, etc., etc., etc.

Anyone reading that knows it is all lies every word. Just some idiot wanting to pretend he knows Roy but doesn’t know anything.
You know Cheryl I have heard this as happening to others with PR departments just winging what they want to or they think sounds good. Thank goodness for you writing your books. I treasure them and fondly reread at my leisure. High five for all your hard work and I just love that you have shared so much. Dads are terrific and memories are what it is all about after they pass. A smile comes over my face when I recall a heart memory. Thank you Cheryl.
It is curiosity why some people believe that the truth is insufficient and that they have to invent the history. The deficiency is probably. contributing to them writing about being an interesting person instead of being one.
